Hello, lovely listeners, and welcome to Zero Waste Imperfectly, the show that talks about all things zero waste with kids. I'm your host, sheila, and I am the mother of three and a sustainable grocery store owner, and today I wanted to talk to you about one of the products that we have in our store. The brand is called Green Llama and most likely, if you haven't been to a refill store, you have not heard of Green Llama, but it is a company that's based in Tennessee. It's a husband and wife team and they make cleaning product refills, and I know if you go to a traditional grocery store, you have seen refills, but they typically come in a bottle. So you take a bottle, you buy a bottle to refill a bottle, and so you are paying for the packaging again. You're paying for the water that's used in the product and it's not that eco-friendly and, chances are, the product itself is not all that clean either. And this is why we absolutely love green llama. First off, because it's made in the us and it's eco-friendly, so it tablets.
Speaker 1:There's three varieties right now there's a bathroom cleaner, there's an all-purpose cleaner and a glass and mirror cleaner. And you have to picture they come in little packets that are about two inches, maybe three inches, tall and an inch wide, and they have. Some of them have two tablets in there and some have one tablet. And all you do is you take a bottle that you already own, a spray bottle, you add water to it 16 ounces and then you drop in these tablets and you wait for them to dissolve. And then you drop in these tablets and you wait for them to dissolve and then you have your cleaning product, which is awesome because the packaging that it comes in is fully compostable. They're ewg friendly products, which means they're safe for you and for the planet. They smell amazing because they're made with essential oils, not artificial fragrances. And the ingredients I'm telling you you will love it. So there are one, two, three, four, five, six, seven ingredients. So I'm looking at the lavender bathroom cleaner. So it's sodium cocosulfate, citric acid, sodium carbonate, sorbitol, sodium benzoate, lavender and rosemary essential oils. That is it, and they are all on ewg as as safe products. I mean, what's what? What could you possibly ask for than this? They're amazing.
Speaker 1:If you have some time, I'd love for you to go on Green Llama's website to learn more about their company. Go on their Facebook and Instagram. They do amazing things. They're spray bottles. Now. They're using all kinds of recycled products, so they're using turbine blades to actually make new spray bottles. It's really incredible what they're doing. So check it out, because if you want to go to a clean cleaning product it's not so funny clean cleaning product if you want to make that change and you don't know which company to go with because there's so many choices out there and you don't know what's been greenwashed and you don't know if it's really good for you, check out Green Llama. You will not be disappointed. Their products are fantastic. If you have any questions, reach out to me. You can find us on all platforms.
